UB40 FEATURING ALI CAMPBELL
LEGENDARY BRITISH ARTISTS PARTNER WITH LEADING STREAMING PLATFORM ON AIR TO HOST SPECIAL ‘IN MEMORY OF ASTRO’ LIVE SHOW
Today, legendary British band UB40 Featuring Ali Campbell announced a special, live show presented in partnership with On Air.
The show ‘In memory of Astro’ was performed in memory of UB40 frontman Ali Campbell’s dearly departed friend and bandmate of over four decades, Astro, who died in November 2021 after a short illness.
The career-spanning 20 song set, including UB40 fan favourites ‘Kingston Town’, ‘The Way You Do The Things You Do’, ‘Here I Am (Come Take Me)’, and ‘Red Red Wine’, plus a very special segment dedicated to Astro, was recorded live in front of 7500 people at the Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam on March 8th 2022.
Talking about the show, Ali explained ‘I’m really excited that all our fans get to see the brilliant show we did at the Ziggodome in Amsterdam in March. It’s wonderful that fans all over the world can watch the show from the comfort of their homes!’.
“UB40 are legendary, so when we received the opportunity to work on this show, we jumped right at it. Having the privilege to do it out of the Netherlands, where we are headquartered, made it that much more special. We really hope all the fans can enjoy it as much as we enjoyed producing the show”.
